One of my favorite movies, written and directed by one of my favorite directors, Christopher Nolan, is „Inception“. The first movie, where I still remember coming out of the theatre, stepping into the glazing sunlight of Los Angles, stuck with the feeling that I wouldn’t be able to digest this movie quickly, unable to perceive the real world for a few hours. Now, 4.5 years later, I still haven’t finished thinking about this movie. For me it’s still a masterpiece, one with flaws tho. But one thing is certainly true. It’s an homage to the cinema itself, that Nolan wrote. And in this incredible video-essay by Kyle Kallgren explains why.
